All of your questions as to why 11 agents left, why the car slowed down, why the Secret Service acted the way they did are answered in the book The Kennedy Detail by Gerald Blaine and myself. I interviewed all the surviving SS agents who were there and the things Mark Lane is telling you are simply not true. Abraham Bolden was only on the White House Detail for a 30-day temporary assignment in 1962.
NOW FOR THE TRUTH:
1) No one disputes the 11 agents leaving; thanks for the corroboration. That said, at least two of them were interviewed for Seymour Hersh's major best-selling 1997 book "The Dark Side Of Camelot", Tony Sherman and Larry Newman, and both express their anger and outrage over JFK's private life. Both agents were NOT interviewed for "The Kennedy Detail" and this issue was ignored/ denied;
2) Bolden's 30-day assignment was in 1961, NOT 1962!
3) Bolden, as a member of the Chicago Field Office, protected JFK whenever he came to the city in 1961-1963;
4) the lame, false excuses for the car slowing down and why the agents acted---and did not act---the way they did/ should have ARE in "The Kennedy Detail".
5) Have you read Lane's book? I have. It is infinitely more factual and documented than your book.
6) I interviewed many more agents than McCubbin, ALSO (like myself) born after 11/22/63, did for her book.
