Further confirmation from an unlikely source: DVP
"To further illustrate the fact that there were most certainly at least two Secret Service agents walking along the right-hand side of the President's car and the SS follow-up car just as the motorcade began to roll at Love Field, as the Dillard photo seems to also indicate, here's a short film clip (which I've looped a few times in a row) taken from a position on the left-hand side of the cars as the motorcade began to move out. This clip was extracted from a 1963 WBAP-TV special called "President Kennedy In Texas".
The above motion picture clip and the two still images taken from that film clearly show two different Secret Service agents walking next to the cars, rather than just the one "shrugging" agent that can be seen just a few seconds later in the WFAA-TV videotape footage.
Therefore, one of those two agents must have peeled off and stopped walking beside the cars within just seconds of the above film being shot.
In the above film footage, there's an agent (not wearing sunglasses) right next to JFK's car door. That same agent can also be seen for several seconds in the other film clip I presented earlier. Unfortunately, the man who is probably the "shrugging" SS agent (Don Lawton, who is wearing sunglasses in the WFAA footage) is not visible in the last clip above, but an agent wearing sunglasses (probably Rybka), who appears to be older than "shrugging man", is clearly seen in that footage and in the still photo from that film shown above. And if it is indeed Rybka, he is located just exactly where he said he was positioned in his official report (quoted below):
"I [proceeded] to the follow-up car 679-X and stationed myself at the right front fender of 679-X and the rear of 100-X. There I stopped everyone from going in between the cars. Once the motorcade began to move, I moved along with it, until the motorcade picked up speed." -- Henry Rybka [Via CE2554]

THE KENNEDY DETAIL COVER-UP: NO MORE
1961, Puerto Rico and Venezuela; 1963, Ireland and
Germany- JFK was protected very well before the Texas trip: agents on/ near the
rear of the limo, partial or full bubbletop, SAIC Behn or ASAIC Boring on the
trips, motorcycles plenty and in proper formation, police AND/ OR military
lining street and FACING crowd, underpasses guarded with no spectators allowed,
fast speed of cars, press and photographers in a flatbed truck in FRONT of
limo, good intelligence and response to local threats, etc. JFK
didn't give a rat's behind if the top
was on or off the limo---he rode with it on a fair amount of time and, in fact,
seemed to prefer the PARTIAL top: just the front and rear on the car with the
middle open for air and to periodically stand. His bad back
would prevent him from seeing the agents on the rear of the limo and HE DIDN'T
CARE- he never ordered them off! Blaine has messed up history by BLAMING THE
VICTIM...my book, COMING OUT FALL 2013 WORLDWIDE, will crucify him and his
"pals". A lot of the Amazon reviews for Blaine's book make me want to
puke- many are obviously planted/ friendly reviews, too: from his home state,
former agents, etc. Blaine during his book tour: "THERE WAS NOTHING THE
SECRET SERVICE COULD HAVE DONE TO PREVENT THE ASSASSINATION"...and people
like Chris Matthews bought it!

Frank Badalson: just doesn't get it with regard to Blaine and The Kennedy Detail
Frank Badalson: just doesn't get it with regard to Blaine and The Kennedy Detail
This is Frank Badalson's 'review' of Blaine's propaganda that he has foolishly bought hook, line, and sinker. McCubbin and company seem proud of this puff piece- it is posted on both the Kennedy Detail blog and the movie blog, as well (not to mention Facebook). First of all, one HAS to see my detailed, critical, lengthy review:
http://www.ctka.net/reviews/kennedydetailreview.html
Badalson's review (with my comments in CAPS and inside []) below:
"I began my research (1980) into the Assassination after the HSCA released its’ findings around 1979 I think it was. My Assassination library is extensive. By 1980 I had been in Law Enforcement 4 years [THERE IT IS: THE FELLOW LAW ENFORCEMENT BIAS]. I had an understanding of how investigations come together, how the physical evidence relates to the case, what is needed to complete an investigation and most of all the ability to separate true needed facts from what is interesting, but not really relevant (the last 7 words of the previous sentence resound through many books and theories perpetrated by dozens as “investigation” into the Assassination). Little did I know then that my research (which included a visit in 1994 to Dealey Plaza, The Book Depository, Oak Cliff, North Beckley St, 10th & Patton and The Texas Theater) would continue, albeit at different levels, for the next 33 years.
Reading and research. Patience and time. I quickly found most written works focused on “what is interesting, but not really relevant”. The……what…… maybe a dozen or so different theories of what happened, who was involved, i.e. bums from a train car, sniper in the sewer, grassy knoll fence, overpass, Dal-Tex Bldg., Mafia, Agent Greer, Agent Hickey…etc. It seemed absolutely ridiculous that anyone could lend credibility to all these many “theories” [I AGREE---I DEAL WITH FACTS, NOT THEORIES: I PERSONALLY INTERVIEWED OVER 80 FORMER AGENTS, MANY FAMILY MEMBERS, AS WELL AS QUITE A FEW PARKLAND DOCTORS AND NURSES, BETHESDA AUTOPSY PERSONNEL, AND SUNDRY OTHER PRINCIPAL PARTIES.]
Think about it……doesn't it seem profoundly ridiculous that every one of these dozen or so final analyses conducted by intelligent people (Note: most had no skill in legal investigations [QUITE A FEW DO]) have a different final word on what happened [YES, BUT ALOT OF "STRAW MEN" THERE---ALOT OF PEOPLE ON THE CONSPIRACY SIDE THINK THOSE THEORIES SUCK, TOO].
There is but only one conclusion that is fact based if you do your own thorough, unbiased research. Researching this case will not be easy, it cannot be done in a few days. There is much material to sift through, much of it is interesting, but not really relevant. You must have the ability to determine what is needed in an investigation of this nature. Lacking that ability can easily take one off into an interesting, but not really relevant vein. There are many “veins” in this case. There is but one fact based conclusion to this homicide investigation. The Dallas Police apprehended the right person [SPOKEN LIKE A FELLOW LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSON. YOU ARE DEAD WRONG. YOU NEED TO READ DOUG HORNE'S 5-VOLUME WORK "INSIDE THE ARRB": HE WAS THE MAJOR INVESTIGATOR FOR THE GOVERNMENT'S LOOK INTO THE CASE IN THE 1990'S, AS WELL AS JIM DOUGLASS' "JFK AND THE UNSPEAKABLE", NOT TO MENTION NJIM DIEUGENIO'S SUPERB "DESTRINY BETRAYED" (SECOND EDITION). FINALLY, MARK LANE'S "LAST WORD" IS VALUABLE, AS WELL. ALL ARE NEW BOOKS]
During the course of my investigation/research the one thing that soon occurred to me was the lack of any in depth public book/story involving the Secret Service Agents from that day [MY BOOK IS COMING OUT IN THE FALL TO COUNTER BLAINE'S PROPAGANDA]. From a Law Enforcement perspective, I always thought I would like to have seen an in depth account of what they saw and experienced during that time. Sure there are some statements and investigative/research blurbs in The Warren report, Manchester's book, Bishops book, Roberts book and a few others. One tv interview with Clint Hill in 1975. All in all I wanted more, I knew there had to be more. I had my own ideas as to why there wasn’t more [IT TOOK MY 22-PAGE LETTER TO CLINT HILL IN JUNE OF 2005 TO UPSET HIM AND BLAINE ENOUGH TO START WRITING THEIR FIRST BOOK...AND THE REST IS HISTORY (REWRITTEN)].
When I first heard about The Kennedy Detail I was personally excited and gratified that this was finally done [AGAIN, YOU CAN "THANK" ME HAHA]. However honestly, I did not know much about Jerry Blaine [CORRECT- YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE. HE WASN'T THERE IN DALLAS ON 11/22/63 AND HE HAS SHOT DOWN HIS OWN CREDIBILITY BY NOW DENYING HE WAS EVEN INTERVIEWED BY WILLIAM MANCHESTER!!!!!]. I quickly found that Clint Hill was involved and of course, I knew who he was [HOW COULD YOU MISS HIM?? HE HAS BEEN ON TV, VIDEO, AND DVD LIKE CRAZY SINCE THE MID 1990'S WITH MORE TO COME]. I went out, bought the book and began reading what I hoped would be the piece of research that I always desired to know. A piece of research that I felt was crucially needed. I finished the Book in four days. When I finished the Book, I knew exactly who Jerry Blaine was [SO DID I---I KNOW WHO BLAINE IS, TOO, AND I BETTER SAVE THAT THOUGHT FOR MYSELF...AHEM...].
There are but a few historically significant books on the subject of the Assassination and this one is at the top of the list. This Book is a deeply personal experience from the men who lived it. They were there. I believe to really “get it”…..that is to say completely understand the meaning of this book number one you have to believe in the integrity of the writer and those involved [I DO NOT: SEE MY REVIEW]. The integrity of these men, all the Agents, is above reproach [IT MOST CERTAINLY IS NOT--HELLO: THEY FAILED MISERABLY ON 11/22/63 AND SEVERAL LIED AND COVERED UP THE TRUTH, INCLUDING FALSELY BLAMING JFK AFTER THE FACT; DESPICABLE]! These clearly were dedicated, honorable men that swore to an oath and upheld it [MOST WERE...]. We must understand that this oath meant something; it meant honor, integrity, honesty, sacrifice and respect for the position. This Book is a true and factual account. When this is blended with the true facts of this case the reader comes away with the feeling that the circle is complete. History is now complete and an accurate historical aspect is clearly and honestly laid out [BOY, ARE YOU GULLIBLE].
I have read other reviews on this forum, I disagree with a few. I will not resort to name calling and cursing. This is a public forum. To resort to this level of expression is quite disrespectful and frankly uncalled for and extremely unprofessional…especially for self proclaimed experts [THAT WAS PROBABLY MEANT FOR ME. I AM IMPORTANT ENOUGH THAT BLAINE WROTE HIS BOOK BECAUSE OF ME, TALKS ABOUT ME FALSELY ON PAGES 359-360, DISCUSSED MY WORK ON C-SPAN WITH HILL (INCLUDING A VIDEO OF MYSELF), AND CLINT HILL EVEN TALKED ABOUT ME DURING A SECOND APPEARANCE. THIS IS SEPERATE FROM BLAINE HAVING HIS LAWYER SEND ME A COMICAL LETTER...]and writers. It serves to diminish and trivialize whatever it is you are trying to say. This form of expression along with its’ twisted interpretations of history become baseless, having succumbed to the interesting but not really relevant issue. The fact that President Kennedy used the Lincoln bubble top on many prior occasions DOES NOT prove anything with regard to Tampa and Dallas [YES, IT DOES---THE PARTIAL TOP WAS OFTEN USED AND BLAINE FIBS AND SAYS THE TOP WAS RARELY USED AND ONLY FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER!]. The fact that President Kennedy on many prior occasions allowed Agents to ride on or run beside the Presidential Limousine DOES NOT prove anything with regard to Tampa and Dallas [AGAIN, YES IT DOES. AND THIS DOES NOT ADDRESS THE FACT THAT MANY AGENTS AND WHITE HOUSE AIDES--WHO WERE THERE---SAID JFK DID NOT TELL THEM TO NOT RIDE ON THE REAR OF THE LIMO]. The Presidents’ mindset along with his assistants was different for Tampa and Dallas. He especially wanted to be seen and wanted Mrs. Kennedy (in Dallas) to be seen. His chief assistant O’Donnell made the call on the morning of the 22nd to leave the bubble top off because he knew that is what the President wanted. This information is not coming from me, those who wish to research this topic will find it in several factual sources. The Agents were requested to stay off the rear of the Presidential Limousine, this IS what the President wanted and he wanted it especially for this motorcade on the 22nd [TO QUOTE THE CHURCH LADY FROM SNL, "HOW CONVENIENT". SEE MY REVIEW FOR THE REAL STORY].
Pure fate took its’ course that day. The rain stopped and the skies cleared. The rain stopped and the skies cleared!!! [WELL, WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH THE TOP STILL BEING USED IN PARTIAL OR FULL CONFIGURATION AND, MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY, AGENTS BEING ON OR NEAR THE REAR OF THE LIMO, GREER DRIVING THE LIMO PROPERLY, THE MOTORCYCLES BEING IN PROPER FORMATION, ETC???]
Pure fate took its course that day [YOU ALREADY SAID THAT...AND YOU ARE DEAD WRONG]. Just the way many American tragedies had before and after the 22nd. Every historical American tragedy can be armchair quarterbacked. Realistically, in life things just happen [WHY EVEN HAVE THE AGENTS? SOMETHING COULD JUST "HAPPEN". YEP, THAT ABSOLVES THEM...]. The most brilliant minds in America could not prevent pure fate from taking its course in history: the 3 astronauts in 67…….the Space Shuttle disasters in 86 and ’03. But for pure luck we did not lose President Reagan at the hands of Hinckley [PURE LUCK??? WHAT AN INSULT TO THE GOOD MEN WHO DID THEIR JOBS ON 3/30/81 !]. Imagine the books and finger pointing, and the conspiracy theories that would have arisen had He died that day. But for pure luck, we did not lose President Ford at the hands of a gun wielding Fromme [ANOTHER INDIRECT INSULT DIRECTED TOWARD THE GOOD MEN WHO PROTECTED FORD THOSE TWO DAYS IN 1975]. The unpredictable nature of the human being will surely be the source for American tragedies yet to come. They too will not be prevented [APPLES AND ORANGES...WE ARE DISCUSSING 11/22/63---WE KNOW NOT EVERYTHING CAN BE PREVENTED AND NOT EVERYTHING IS A CONSPIRACY. IN FACT, YOU CAN HAVE, FOR SAKE OF ARGUMENT, OSWALD ALL ALONE AND THE FACT REMAINS: THE AGENTS FAILED TO DO THEIR JOBS...AND, IN SOME RESPECTS, IT WAS WILLFUL MISCONDUCT].
More importantly the American public must accept the fact that individuals, acting alone, the likes of Adam Lanza, James Holmes, Jared Lee Loughner (political assailant), John Hinckley (Reagan assailant), James Earl Ray and Lee Harvey Oswald will always be among us [CHRIST, WHAT AN APPLES AND ORANGES MIX OF PEOPLE!].
Every American owes a deep sense of gratitude to Jerry Blaine, Clint Hill and all the Secret Service Agents that contributed to this historically significant book, they should be respected and admired [YES, "THANKS" FOR LETTING JFK GET KILLED AND FOR PROFITING FROM HIS DEATH. THANKS, JER. BLAINE, AREN'T YOU GLAD THERE ARE FELLOW LAW ENFORCEMENT PEOPLE LIKE THIS WHO WILL BELIEVE WHAT YOU SAY LIKE THE WORD OF GOD AND LINE YOUR POCKETS??? :o)].
Pure fate reared its head that day in November [DEAD WRONG--YOU NEED AN EDUCATION]and gave all of us another American tragedy that CANNOT be blamed on anyone other than Lee Harvey Oswald.[DEAD WRONG ONCE AGAIN]
This Book gets 5 Stars+, you better believe it; Thank you Jerry, Clint and Lisa for this needed chapter of American History [YEP, THANKS JER---WHEN CAN WE PAY FOR MORE OF YOUR PROPAGANDA?]"

ABRAHAM BOLDEN DESTROYS THE KENNEDY DETAIL BOOK
I just finished reading former Secret Service Agent Blaine's 448-page cover-your-ass memoir, The Kennedy Detail. As a former agent myself and the first African-American to be appointed to the White House detail personally by President John F. Kennedy in 1961, I have been dismayed by the continual attempts by certain former agents of the United States Secret Service to deny culpability in the assassination of the President on November 22, 1963. The attack upon my credibility in Blaine's CYA account of that event was expected. Still, I was hoping that these former presidential bodyguards would show at least the barest measure of contrition instead of trying to blame the assassination on Kennedy himself.
Unlike the vast majority of Americans, I was an agent during that critical period in 1963. My own book, The Echo from Dealey Plaza, is an autobiography which is supported by documented facts, unlike Blaine's book. In Echo I relate the questionable habits and attitudes of a number of my fellow agents while I served with them carrying out our sworn duties to protect the president: for examples their heavy drinking, their wild partying while on duty, their cavalierness and even contemptuousness toward their life-and-death responsibilities, their disrespect of Kennedy and his progressive policies. One agent even declared with chilling seriousness within my earshot that, were an attempt made on the life of President Kennedy, he would take no action. I also talk about the overt and persistent racism ingrained in the Secret Service of that era.
Blaine dismisses my claims of discriminatory practices and racial baiting during my time with the agency as being unfounded. However, on page 25 in Echo I document by Secret Service file memo 3-11-602-111 the starkly racist policy that would have grossly hampered an agent of my color in carrying out his government-appointed duty to protect the president. Blaine also asserts that Agent Robert Faison, the first black Secret Service agent who was permanently assigned to the White House detail in 1963, took issue with what Blaine terms my unbelievable charges of racism. Curiously, in his book Blaine fails to mention him by name. If there was NO racism in the Secret Service even in the comparatively unenlightened year of 1963, how is it then that, a mere few years ago in 2000, 2002, and as recently as 2005, no fewer than 68 African-American agents filed a series of class-action civil lawsuits charging the United States Secret Service with "a decades-long pervasive atmosphere of racial harassment and retaliation against those who challenged the status quo"?
Further in the book Blaine makes a minor but telling error. He states that I reported the conduct of my fellow agents to the head of White House Secret Service, James Rowley. I never did go to Rowley, as it was common knowledge that he was already aware of the shenanigans of his subordinates but did nothing to stop them. On page 45 of Echo, I specifically state that I went directly to Rowley's superior, the well-respected, no-nonsense Chief U.E. Baughman, who happened to be leaving his job in a few weeks. Baughman was appalled by what I had to say and promised to leave my report with his successor—who, as it turned out, was Rowley.
After Kennedy's assassination, Baughman was publicly critical of the actions or inactions of the Secret Service as he witnessed them from outside the agency. I myself was aware of coverups and obfuscations during my last months in the Secret Service. For example, as far it being a policy to forbid agents to ride on the running boards of the presidential vehicle (they were attached solely for the purpose of protecting the president), this ridiculous piece of disinformation wasn't circulated until AFTER the assassination. There was NO official memorandum or other notification of any such change in policy.
Lastly, there is an even more serious accusation leveled at me by Blaine.
In early November 1963 I was back in the Chicago office when the Secret Service was in the middle of investigating a shady character named Echevarria, who had been overhead to say that he was about to "take care of Kennedy". My own desk was near that of the investigating agent. I paid special attention as he dictated his reports and noted that he finished them before November 22. Clearly, the investigation took place prior to the events in Dallas. However, on the afternoon of November 26, four days after the assassination, a special meeting between Secret Service Inspector Thomas Kelly, Special Agent in Charge James Burke—the two lead investigators of the shooting in Dallas—and representatives of the FBI held a meeting in our office. After this meeting, these same reports were restructured and the dates of the investigation were changed to indicate that the Echevarria investigation was conducted AFTER Kennedy's assassination.
In order to better understand the timing of the events surrounding the assassination, I have attempted in subsequent years to bring this cover-up to light. Blaine, however, has accused me of concocting this story. As he puts it, "Bolden's using the JFK assassination to save his own skin."
But I was there. Blaine has stated in defense of his whitewash memoir, "I was there." Well, he wasn't there, he was in Austin at the time of the shooting. I was present during all the events I have recorded in my book.
A final note: Blaine has repeatedly, in print and in person, referred to me as "the convicted felon" in an attempt to discredit me and my autobiography. I may well be a convicted felon but I sleep well at night knowing I did everything I could to save the life of President Kennedy. Can the agents in Dallas who trotted behind the president's car and saw his head blown to pieces say the same thing?
From COPA, 8 November 2010
Unlike the vast majority of Americans, I was an agent during that critical period in 1963. My own book, The Echo from Dealey Plaza, is an autobiography which is supported by documented facts, unlike Blaine's book.

Thank you Secret Service Officer Abe.
I have been reading lots of stuff on the assissanation of our very finest President, Kennedy. I was not alive when he was murdered, but I have never believed that he was killed by Oswald....thank you for your review on this book, I will not waste my money on people trying to cover this up for one more minute...nor do I believe for one minute that President Kennedy told those men to step down in Dallas when he knew he was not popular here in Texas....I'm from Texas and I am ashamed that something like that happened here...but smart enough to know that people in high places that are from here (LBJ), they can get away with just about anything...thanks for all that you tried to do to save a President, and just know that even if they don't have to answer to us...one day they will have to answer for it to God..and it won't be well for their souls..for what does it profit a man to lose his life and his soul?

Letter to Secret Service Expert Vince Palamara
Letter to Secret Service Expert Vince Palamara
Dear Vince,
First of all, I think you're right to shift your attention from Gerald Blaine's memoir and focus instead on the film version of The Kennedy Detail, as it will probably attract a larger audience than the book (though this is far from a certainty). There are quite an interesting number of JFK Assassination movies coming out this year. Let's consider how The Kennedy Detail stacks up against its competition:
Parkland is a major motion picture produced and starring Tom Hanks. Its theme: Valiant Doctors Battle the Odds to Save the President. It follows the no-conspiracy line, but audiences should warm to this movie easily. It's got Tom Hanks!
Legacy of Secrecy is another major motion picture that's been in the works for over two years and stars Leonardo DiCaprio. Its theme: The Mafia Did It. Sounds more edgy and intriguing than the Oliver Stone movie. It's got my interest because it's based on the books by Lamar Waldron and Thom Hartmann. And while I think Waldron jumps to the wrong conclusions a little too often, I appreciate Hartmann for doing his bit to exonerate Abraham Bolden, the former Secret Service agent who Blaine smeared, in not-too-subtly racist terms, in his own book.
Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot is the working title for the History Channel movie based on Fox News pundit Bill O'Reilly's book and produced by top director-producer Ridley's Scott's outfit, Scott Free Television. Its theme: JFK's Assassination Changed the Course of History. I hear the book was fairly lame, but the producers intend to fill out their two-hour movie with recreated scenes, archival footage, and talking heads expounding their theories of what Kennedy's death has meant to America. I'm no fan of O'Reilly, and I've heard these arguments before, but this project smells as sweet as a rose compared to
The Kennedy Detail, produced by Achity Entertainment and Ramos & Sparks, with absolutely no big names attached as of this moment, and I doubt we'll be hearing of any come March when the cameras start rolling. As my friend, a Hollywood publicist who wishes to remain anonymous, pointed out, Achity Entertainment spends an inordinate amount of time trawling around writing schools and workshops in order to exploit hungry novice writers, while Ramos & Sparks primarily does public relations for sports personalities. The production team though includes some competent below-the-line people; the line producer, set designer, and casting directors all have good reputations, so the look of the movie may turn out all right.
Unfortunately, they plan to show it first on the Discovery Channel, a basic cable channel already notorious for offensively dubious “reality” programs like Amish Mafia.
Even if this movie had a serviceable script, I'd have reason enough to doubt its success. But Stephen Gyllenhaal (mediocre director and way less than mediocre screenwriter—check out his last effort Grassroots) seems to consistently have writing problems. So it comes as no surprise that he has enlisted his new young wife (who has absolutely no screenwriting credentials whatsoever outside the academic world) probably to bail him out from an embarrassing failure. Being no fool, she quickly seized the opportunity to wangle her first Hollywood co-writing credit, as evidenced by the movie poster.
Oh by the way, the theme of The Kennedy Detail: Yeah We Fucked Up, But It's Kennedy's Fault.
All this is to say that if you want to nail Blaine on his questionable account of What Really Happened, you won't accomplish it by going head-to-head with him armed with mere facts. Because at no point has Gerald Blaine ever attempted to defend factually the truth of his case and he never will. He's just a shill—for his book and now for the movie. So no, you are never ever going to get him to engage in an honest debate.
The best way to back him against the wall, in my opinion, is to question the veracity of the film and to do it publicly and repeatedly. Here are a few points you should make:
1. There Is No Disinterested Historian Attached to The Kennedy Detail Film
Do you recall that TV moderator who dismissed your commendable research and your offer to confront Blaine because you were “too young to remember the assassination”? Well, Associate Producer McCubbin is also “too young to remember” and so is co-writer Kathleen Gyllenhaal, Stephen's new wife, who's around his daughter Maggie's age (Maggie was born in 1977).
2. Blaine Was Not Present at the Assassination
Remember that TV moderator also sneeringly remarked that “you weren't there”? Well, Blaine, who was supervising agent of the actual Kennedy Secret Service detail, may have pretentions to being the absolute last word regarding the president's murder, but let's not forget that HE wasn't in Dallas either--he had been sent on to Austin that day.
3. Not All Secret Service Agents Present At the Assassination Agree with the Warren Report
And here's another thing you ought to make clear again and again: Of the three agents still living who were actually present at the assassination, two—Win Lawson and Paul Landis—gave testimony that conflicted with the Warren Report aka The Official Story. Never mind how much flattery or chicanery Achity might have used to get them to sign releases to be depicted in this fiction. Never mind what contributions Lawson and Landis may want to make to this story. As I've said, this is Hollywood, they'll be cute and irrelevant. Landis only wants to talk about Caroline Kennedy's horse Macaroni anyway. Hell, I remember Macaroni.
5. Using CGI, They Plan to Interpolate Images of the Real JFK to Interact with the Other Characters
Even with the disclaimers, there will be morons out there who will nevertheless believe they're watching the real President Kennedy really joking anound with his real bodyguards. Wow, the story must be true 'cause Kennedy himself is starring in it! I will bet a more than a dollar the producers are counting on this.
Before the cameras even roll, this film already is destined to be more offensive to more people than Discovery's Amish Mafia is to the Amish. Offensive to the memory of JFK, offensive to honest filmmakers, but most of all offensive to admirers of the late president. You mention propaganda in your writings a lot, Vince. Well, I agree wholeheartedly with your use of the term, and this little Hollywood trick they plan to use is the smoking gun.
Best,
Cantara

Gee, if General David Petraeus could lie, do ya think Blaine could, too? People are so naive...
Whenever I see all these trusting, naive (mostly-planted-by-friends-and-associates) 5-star reviews of Blaine's book "The Kennedy Detail", the degree of naivete reminds one of the mindset of America during the 1950's. You would think the word of Blaine was the received Word of God or something; makes one want to throw up. Not only because I know what he REALLY said to me, as well as what all his many colleagues said and wrote that goes against what Blaine espouses in his book, but because, as an educated man, I know cover-ups and propaganda are more common than we care to admit.
Now that CIA Director--- and modern-day Eisenhower--- General David Petraeus has been caught in a lying, morally degrading scandal and cover up, can we now cease and desist from believing Blaine at face value? Geez.

Thank you Vince,
just so you know, I don't trust Jer at all.
His alleged decision to put men on the back in Tampa only to save them the leg work of running to the limo everytime it stopped & now an actual witness to Roberts' order to pull the men off the back? Garbage.
This is what I'm after, visual confirmation that refutes part of the myth.
So,
the motorcade section in Tampa had agents on the back the entire time? You haven't seen a single image from that first part with no agents on the back?
I need to be clear on this point thank you.
Of course, I understand how crouching like that is a temporary relief for the legs but the images from Tampa tell us it was a full time position, far more uncomfortable than standing, indeed far more work & totally unatural.
Hill was on the back in Dallas for a few minutes tops & he's already crouching for relief?
I don't believe JFK ordered men off the back either(thanks to your important research) but I do think he may of said something in Tampa that resulted in those two on the back laying low.
This event I feel was used later by Rowley to pass the buck.
The idea here is, after a complaint, Roberts had the men remain on the back but more out of sight for JFK's "benefit".
Roberts did not take them off the back at all, he lied about that to help Rowley.
You have shown one image from Tampa where we see Lawton & his colleague standing, in the rest they are crouching. So the odds are they crouched most of the way.
This is observed in no other motorcade, in fact do you have one single image from another trip that caught men crouching? It should be a rare event as you said, temporary.
In Tampa it was the norm & there must be a reason for it.
Whilst crouching they are at least giving the appearance of being less conspicious to JFK. That's who they are doing it for IMO no one else. That was not from an order to stay off the back from now on. That was/is an invention but it may have had a root in an actual event. The best lies usually do.

These men were in a unique position because of their closeness to history. But you would not know it from this account. It reads like an old news paper account. They have not much to say that we did not already know. Surely they know a lot more than they are willing to admit! No matter how tense and chaotic the day, they surely saw the bullet hole in the windshield. And yet the book is silent on this point. This book is a conspiracy of silence.

Blaine's book FAILS to convince the public
1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money, July 31, 2012
By Stardust - See all my reviewsThis review is from: The Kennedy Detail: JFK's Secret Service Agents Break Their Silence (Paperback)
This book is not worth the money it cost to buy it or the time it takes to read it. This book seems to be nothing more than an attempt to sell these agents as saints. Men who gave up everything to protect the President. However if you go back and look at the film coverage of that day in Dallas, you will see that Vice-President Johnson's men used their bodies to protect him by jumping on him and pushing him down. President Kennedy's men did nothing, and I mean nothing. It looks like they even slowed the car down until his head was blown off and not one of them used them
selves as a shield or did anything else to try to protect the President.
Do not waste you money or time with this book.

I found this book in a thrift shop for .50 and thought WOW I really snagged a great deal. I did, it's worth just about .50
The book is slow and boring in the beginning with some parts that don't lead to anything.
Clint Hill has been quoted in the forward as saying he accepts the Warren Commission Report's findings-when I read this I almost threw up.
The book seems harsh on Mrs. Kennedy and the President as well, why?
The author also seems to complain that he and/or other agents missed dinner a couple of times during their detail work-SO WHAT.
Sensationalism. Plain and simple.
Don't bother wasting your time buying this book.

Joseph Milteer: a very important cog in the wheel
Although Gerald Blaine seemingly dismisses the importance of the Joseph Milteer recorded threat information (and Vince Bugliosi likewise does a lawyerly "debunking" that is not persuasive), I think it is a very important cog in the wheel; a smoking gun, as are the reports of "agents" of unknown repute in Dealey Plaza, as well as the report of a French assassin (Souetre? Mertz?) in Fort Worth and Dallas on 11/22/63.
