Some idiot with the Amazon tagname "RANCHO RELAXO"...
...This "person", whose only two "reviews" are for "The Kennedy Detail" and "Mrs Kennedy and Me" (and who has "Reclaiming History" on their wish list), has struck out at me for the third time (he also left a comment on my 5-star review of Hill's book):
"While reading this I realised I am the same age (28) as Mr Hill when he first met Mrs Kennedy in November 1960. Born long after the events of that time. I have yet to meet anyone who is specifically interested in this period of American history who does not assert to me the vast and intricate web of 'conspiracy' that exist/s/(ed). It is embarrassing to have to listen to these things. Further, any output I find online by Mr Hill & Lisa McCubbin is hounded by some verbose and annoying individual proclaiming to be the 'leading expert on JFK', Mr 'Palaver' - go away. You are as stupid as you look, stop trying to associate your name with those who's worth history will recall. You lower the tone of this review, and I don't appreciate it."
Well, Mr "Rancho Relaxo", you are as stupid as your name sounds. I never proclaimed to be "the 'leading expert on JFK'"---I AM the leading literary Secret Service expert. I make zero money from my research. I have a day job, a "life", and other interests, as well. I interviewed and corresponded with over 80 former Secret Service agents (+surviving family+JFK assassination witnesses+Parkland & Bethesda personnel)---by request, my work is included in the National Archives, the JFK Library, Harvard University, the Dallas County Records Library, the AARC, and other collections. I have appeared in over 60 books, radio (especially recently re: Secret Service scandal), newspapers, national conferences, all over the net, The History Channel (4 times to huge ratings+ huge best-selling dvd+You Tube), C-SPAN WITH BLAINE AND HILL DISCUSSING MY WORK (shown at least three times so far; on dvd; on C-SPAN's official website and You Tube), PA Cable Access tv, "Inside Edition" (although it fell through), Discovery Channel (in the works), etc. The vast majority of these media appearances were by request/ unsolicited. Former agents Robert Deprospero, Dan Emmett (I am on the cover of his great new book!), Joe Paolella, Frank Stoner, Darwin Horn, and others have praised my work. In fact, I was even included on the nomination letter of a prestigious award given to Mr DeProspero, by invitation of his Secret Service daughter, an honor I cherish.
I have been called a Secret Service expert by Vince Bugliosi, The History Channel, former agent Dan Emmett, and many others.
As far as the SUBSTANCE of my research, as the saying goes, don't kill the messenger for delivering bad news. It is what it is---these men told me what they told me: JFK WAS A VERY NICE MAN, NEVER INTERFERED WITH THEIR ACTIONS AT ALL, AND DID NOT ORDER THE AGENTS OFF HIS LIMOUSINE.
Again, I am 100 percent sure it was my 22-page letter to Mr Hill that was the genesis of "The Kennedy Detail" and, by extension (the need to write a follow-up), "Mrs Kennedy and Me." I am a huge admirer of the Secret Service and I salute Mr Hill's service and bravery...although he WAS one of NINE agents who went out drinking the night before 11/22/63; alcohol and sleep deprivation will cause havoc with even the best-trained reflexes.

P.S. I love this comment an astute reader made to his Blaine book 'review':
Propaganda is telling lies to people by telling them things they are already inclined to believe. You are a great target for propaganda.
You are in no position, based on your comments, to criticize the more informed people on the assassination, who you call names.
You need to not read 'just 1 book on JFK' as you mention in your subject. By doing so, for example by reading the book by the first black Secret Service agent to guard a President, hand-selected by President Kennedy, "The Echo from Dealey Plaza" by Abraham Bolden, you would learn his story which is vastly different than this book's about the Secret Service detail - about the culture on the team of racism, of hostility to JFK by a number of agents who said they would not jump in front of a bullet for him, about how this agent was set up to be killed and when he refused the assignment, was framed for a crime and imprisoned.
If you read other books, you would read how the head of the Secret Service admitted a number of Kennedy agents had been out drinking, visiting a bar well after midnight, the night before the assassination - while drinking was supposed to be cause for termination, and was not for any of the agents.
But you are determined to believe false stories. Others should not get bad advice on this book, apparently written to 'spin a story' for the reputations of the agents.
